Monica Cheema is a filmmaker, facilitator, and researcher working in Surrey and Vancouver. Her films blend fiction and non-fiction to explore memory, labour, family, and public space. She also leads workshops in Metro Vancouver schools, where she works with young people to explore how power, space, and politics shape our communities. Cheema lives and works on the lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh, Katzie, Semiahmoo, and Kwantlen Nations.
