Lesley Loksi Chan
Lesley Loksi Chan, born in Hamilton, Ontario, is an artist and filmmaker who creates moving-image works as mementos through experimental, handmade, and process-based filmmaking. Chan’s films have been presented internationally at galleries and festivals, and her accolades include the award for Best Emerging Film/Videomaker for Curse Cures (2009) at the Images Festival, the York University Graduate Studies Thesis Prize for The Urge to Run a Lap (2017), and both the Teddy Award and the Golden Bear for Best Short Film at the 75th Berlinale for Lloyd Wong, Unfinished (2025).
