Cordell Barker is a two-time Academy Award–nominated animator known for his long association with the National Film Board of Canada, where his films have won over 50 international awards. He is best known for creating acclaimed animated shorts such as The Cat Came Back (1988) and Strange Invaders (2001), which blend humour and heart and often feature ordinary characters in surreal situations. Barker’s fifth and latest NFB film, Good Luck to You All (2025), is a whimsical exploration of artificial intelligence.
