Born in Beirut in 1973, Wissam Charaf has directed 7 short films including Unforgettable Memory of a Friend (2018), awarded at the Clermont-Ferrand festival 2019. His first feature film, Heaven Sent (2016) was selected at ACID during the Cannes Film Festival 2016. His second feature, Dirty Difficult Dangerous (2022) won the Europa Cinema at the 2022 Venice Film Festival before being awarded at the 2023 Palm Springs Film Festival. His latest short film, If the Sun Drowned into an Ocean of Clouds (2023), has just won the Special Prize of the National Jury in Clermont Ferrand after being selected at Orizzonti – Venice last September.
