Join us for VIFF Kids Club — our monthly family matinee series with film-inspired crafts and special concession snacks before the show! Doors open at 11:00 am for activities, with the film screening at 12:00 pm.

This Month’s Film
Join us for Snowtime!, a heartwarming Canadian animated adventure about kids who turn their snowy winter break into the ultimate snowball war. Filled with laughter, friendship, epic snow forts and rivalries with big emotions, this film celebrates teamwork, imagination, and resilience. In French, it is called La Guerre Des Tuques (War of the Tuques), an animated adaptation of a beloved 1980s classic film in Quebec. Don’t miss the chance to enjoy a Canadian animated feature on the big screen — an experience we don’t often get in cinemas. Perfect for families looking for fun and meaningful winter magic together!

This Month’s Activities
Before the film gets started, kids will have the opportunity to create winter crafts, inspired by the film. A special, icy-themed snack pack including candy, freezie, small popcorn and small drink, will be available to purchase.

Please note: VIFF Kids Club is designed for families to attend together. Adults can only attend if they’re bringing a child, and children can only attend if accompanied by an adult

Does your family have a film idea for Kids Club? Let our staff know after the movie, or submit your idea online!

Content Considerations: one character lost his father in the military and we see flashbacks to his feather’s funeral; a surprising loss later in the film is sad but ultimately brings the characters together.

Meet Me In St. Louis

Dir. Vincente Minnelli

Vincente Minnelli's heartwarming evergreen chronicles an ordinarily tumultuous year in the life of a prosperous household in 1904. It's debatable that MGM ever conjured a more affecting musical.
